Sales & Business Development Manager – The Role:
You will act as the face of the business, representing the company when dealing with building owners, engineering consultants, property managers, main contractors, subcontractors and vendors, as well as directly with end users.
Sales & Business Development Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships with new clients, Owners, Consultants, Property Managers, Main Contractors and End Users to secure new contracts
- Use industry knowledge to understand a client’s needs and provide technical solutions and suggestions
- Design and implement sales strategy which aligns with existing company growth plans
- Identify and evaluate potential new opportunities and provide suitable recommendations to boost sales/ increase market share
- Structure and manage the existing team of sales & business development executives
- Develop & coordinate initiatives to grow new & existing client relationships
- Target & pursue new opportunities for business
- Build & maintain trusted relationships with internal and external clients (building owners, engineers and project managers)
- Meet with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions
- Facilitate lunch & learn sessions, trade shows, & other client events
- Maintain database of new and existing client relationships
- Perform ongoing administration and tracking via our CRM
What you bring to the table:
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales & business development
- Previous experience in business development, sales and working with project managers, estimators and vendors
- Previous experience in building renewal / construction industry
- You want to work for a company with a dual bottom line and where your opinion matters and decisions are made quickly
- Driven self-starter, with a preference for shaping your own schedule
- Resilient, seeing obstacles as opportunities to improve
- Detail oriented, taking pride in the quality of your work
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI and Office
Sales & Business Development Manager – You:
- A current and in-depth working knowledge of the Building Services space and/or other relevant sectors within Construction
- Strong relationships with building services clients and consultants and building owners and investors
- Understanding of trends within the construction industry sectors
- Strong networking, influencing and negotiation skills
